Welcome to the Sydney University Nutrition Research Foundation
The Nutrition Research Foundation was established within the Human Nutrition Unit of the University of Sydney in 1979 with the aim of supporting research and improving knowledge of human nutrition in Australia.
The Nutrition Research Foundation seeks to:
- foster and support research in human nutrition
- strengthen links with industry and health sectors
- provide a forum for the exchange of research findings
- aid research scholars working in the field of human nutrition
Many of the major diseases of our society are related to nutritional imbalance and vigorous research is needed to provide a scientific basis for the food industry, to reliably inform the public about nutrition and as a foundation upon which to develop nutritional policies for the future.
For a greater insight into the activities of the Nutrition Research Foundation, refer to the annual reports and symposia reports.
