The Sydney Protein Group

The Sydney Protein Group is made up of protein scientists and students from academia, hospitals and industry.

We meet regularly to hear updates from local and overseas speakers on the latest developments in protein science and related fields.

Scholarships and prizes are also provided to enable young scientists to attend key protein related meetings in Australia.

Thompson Prize 2011
The Thompson Prize took place on Thur, 24th November, 2011 at Sydney Uni. It was great to see yet another year of very strong of applicants vying for a finals berth; five PhD students were chosen as the finalists and the winner can be found here. Lorne Conference Travel Scholarships & Greg Ralston Memorial Prize
The Bio-Rad and GE Healthcare travelling scholarships to attend a Lorne Conference, and the SPG Greg Ralston Memorial Prize for a science Honours student who intends to continue on to a PhD program in the following year have been announced at the Thompson Prize night (see above and here).[Posted 6th January, 2012]
