The East Coast Protein Meeting was held from Friday, 19th of July to Sunday, 21st of July, 2013.
The meeting is a joint initiative by the Sydney Protein Group and the Queensland Protein Group. This three-day conference has in the past been an excellent arena for established and young protein scientists to mix on an equal footing in a relaxed atmosphere.
One of the primary goals of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for younger protein scientists to present their work - there will be many talks scheduled for students and early PostDocs.
Three keynote speakers, Prof Emily Parker (University of Canterbury, New Zealand), Dr Matthew Call (WEHI, Victoria) and Prof Antoine van Oijen (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands) have added a little seniority to proceedings.
The Sydney Protein Group and The Queensland Protein Group has sponsored two awards for both students and ECRs as well as a few poster and talk awards.
The Registration and Abstract Submission is now closed (closed on 28th of June, 2013).
