SOLES Summer Research Scholarships
The School of Life and Environmental Sciences is offering Summer Research Scholarships for 2016/2017.
Summer Research Scholarships provide students with an opportunity to engage in formal supervised research projects over the summer holiday period, equipping participants with valuable academic and professional skills as well as links to industry. These projects allow students to engage in research whilst completing their undergraduate degrees, which enhances their student experience and provides insight into potential further research degrees. The scholarships are offered to domestic students at the University of Sydney and also to suitably experienced students from other universities in Australia and New Zealand.
Projects run for 4-6 weeks between November 2016 and February 2017, and are offered in the following research areas:
- Biochemistry & Cell Biology
- Biological Sciences
- Molecular Biology and Genetics
- Nutrition & Metabolism
- Structural Biology
If you wish to apply under the research area of Biological Sciences, please ensure you visit the link above.
Students must be available for the full duration of the project although specific dates can be arranged with their supervisor (please note the University closes from 19 December 2016 to 2 January 2017 for the Christmas closedown).
