For your convenience there are 2 types of application available here, Secure Shell [SSH] clients for access to linux/unix servers and backup applications for automated backup to our file server glycogen or your external disk.

The CyberDuck client, available for both Windows and Mac, can also be used as a browser for WebDAV, Cloud Files, Google Docs & Amazon S3 in addition to FTP and SFTP.

SSH/SFTP Clients for Windows

The Putty, SSH Win Client and SSH Secure Shell Client provide access to the Linux/Unix shell or terminal.

SyncBack - a Free Windows Backup/Synchronize Program

This application can backup, synchronize, or restore your files to another drive, FTP server, ZIP file, networked drive, or removable media. You can, for example schedule SyncBack to do a nightly backup of your important folders to the SMB backup server Glycogen.

SilverKeeper - a Free Mac OS X Backup Program

This application can backup to any device that can mount a writeable volume on the Macintosh Desktop. You can, for example schedule SilverKeeper to do a nightly backup of your important folders to the SMB backup server Glycogen.
