Research interests

Ann works in the area of NMR spectroscopy and currently manages the NMR facility. Her main research area is focused on a class of fungal proteins called hydrophobins which can self-polymerise to form a strong coating on structures that can reverse surface polarity. This work is a collaboration with the Sunde group. She also collaborates with users of the NMR facility working mainly on proteins/protein complexes/peptides of biological interest.

Teaching and supervision

Ann, together with Dr Roland Gamsjaeger, currently teaches the third year advanced component of the BCHM3982 course on Biological Problem Solving using NMR. This course consists of 8 lectures and 3 weeks of laboratory classes.
