Biographical details

Di Warren completed a PhD at the University of Sydney in 1998 entitled 'The Frobenius-Harper technique in a general recurrence model'. Di is passionate about increasing student motivation and engagement through continual educational innovation, particularly focused on statistical literacy in very large first year courses. Her most recent project was 'Improving Statistical Efficacy through Engaged Enquiry and Student-Driven Research in a Large First Year Course' funded by a Strategic Innovation Grants (2015).

Di is responsible for overseeing the curriculum development of first year Statistics courses, with increasing emphasis on current data stories, problem-based learning and student's ability to write and present collaborative reports.
