Research interests

Fiona has a passion for improving the lives of others by undertaking research into nutrition and dietetics which can be translated into practice in order to reduce the burden related to poor nutritional status.

Her research interests include all aspects of nutrition and dietetics, but she has a particular interest in macro- and micro- nutrient research with a focus on underprivileged population groups across the life course, particularly in those at early and late life stages i.e. children and older people.

Keywords: Micronutrients, macronutrients, vitamins, protein,clinical outcomes, nutritional status, growth and development, functional status, cognition, healthy ageing.
