Biographical details

Natalka Suchowerska holds a tenured appointment at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse andleads a multidisciplinary researchteam with a focus on using physics and technology to solve the problems observed in the medical hospital environment. Natalka is expert in the use of ionising radiation for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes and is committed to advancing technology to enable improved patient outcomes. Her extensive hospital experience directs the focus of current active projects, which include both experimental and theoretical approaches to resolvethe radiobiological effects of temporal and spatial modulation of radiation, radiation bystander effects, synergystic effects of combined treatments, therapeutic enhancement with nanotechnology, innovative use of fibre-optic technology in high resolution dosimetry, small radiation field dosimetry and 3D printing for clinical applications.
