Thesis title: Driving forces of Environmental Behaviour Changes of Cu Lao Cham Island Community in Hoi An, Vietnam.

Supervisors: Phil MCMANUS , Robert FISHER

Thesis abstract:

pThis research explores the factors and mechanisms underlying environmental behaviour change focusing on Cu Lao Cham Island in Vietnam. There is a strong view that Cu Lao Cham residents have changed their environmental behaviour since Cu Lao Cham became a Marine Protected Area in 2005. Using "theory of planned behaviour", the concept of “sense of place” and “environmental governance”, the research explores the factors and mechanisms based on a field study involving participant observation, interviews and focus group discussions./p
