Biographical details

Simon Lefrancois received his PhD in Applied Physics from Cornell University in 2012. He then joined the School of Physics as a post-doctoral research associate with the Centre for Ultrahigh bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS).

Research interests

His graduate studies focused on high energy ultrafast fiber lasers, non-linear pulse propagation in optical fibers and parametric frequency conversion in optical waveguides. He is now working on ultrafast pulse shaping and characterization in high bandwidth optical communications and signal processing systems.
