Biographical details

I obtained my PhD from the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS) in 2012. During this period I studied MS-based proteomics and my research focused mainly on the development and application of proteomic methods. In 2014 I joined Professor David James’s lab to continue my scientific research career as a postdoctoral research associate. Now my main research project is using MS-based proteomic approaches to dissect dynamics of proteins and cysteine-oxidations involved in reactive oxygen species-induced insulin resistance in adipocytes. Besides, I am also interested in proteomic method-building for MS-detection of rare protein PTMs, such as protein oxidation, poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation, and analysing their crosstalk.
