Our research facilities

Research Facilities Overview

The Photonics and Optical Physics group currently has experimental laboratories covering approximately 250 sq m, which are located on the ground floor and basement of the historical Physics building, on the Camperdown campus of the University of Sydney. This laboratory is called the Photonic and Optical Physics Laboratory at the University of Sydney (POPLUS).

In 2015, the Photonics and Optical Physics group also moved to new research facilities at the Sydney Nanoscience Hub, built for its stimulated Brillouin scattering and nonlinear quantum photonics projects.
