Bio: Darren Hudson recieved his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, USA in 2009. His research included long distance synchronization of mode-locked fiber lasers, high-harmonic generation using femtosecond fiber lasers, and a new mode-locking technique based on nonlinear coupling in waveguide arrays. From 2009 to 2010, Darren worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Otago in New Zealand on a cold atoms/molecules project studying low-energy collisions between ultracold clouds of Rubidium and Potassium. Darren joined CUDOS in 2010 and is working on projects involving mid-infrared light.
