Welcome to the School of Physics. We hope that you will find the School an inspiring place to work and that you will enjoy your time here. This page is here to help staff and students find information relevant to their work, and their functioning within the School of Physics and University. There are many aspects, split into resources for new arrivals to get started at the school, and then further, more specialised information. Contacts are given in the pane on the right if information in the pages is inadequate, and we welcome any suggestions for changes to the pages.

Getting Started at the School of Physics

For locating the University and school, finding public transport, and obtaining campus maps see How to find us.

Office and IT: Office and computer setup, information about office facilities, and IT support.

General Administration: Policies and Paperwork, Forms, (eg: pay, leave, reimbursements), scholarships and funding, and legal policies.

People, Contact and Communication: Find and contact physics personnel, add your own contact details to staff and student directories, find research groups, and learn of school meetings.

Also please consider attending a half-day University Orientation Seminar to introduce new staff to the workings of the University of Sydney.
