About Us

Why do children behave, think, and feel the way they do? At the Sydney SEEDLing lab we are trying to answer these fundamental questions.
We conduct research on children’s development all the way from infancy into adolescence. Our lab focuses on children’s complex behaviours and personalities being rooted in basic and often simple processes of learning, influenced both by their genes and their environment.
Making use of various research strategies such as naturalistic observation through to eye tracking devices, our research hopes to reveal how these amazing young learners draw connections, make inferences and transfer learning across domains, enabling them to navigate their social worlds.
