The breadth of spatial science expertise gained throughout this program will provide you with a wide variety of employment opportunities. Depending on your background and the specialty areas in which you choose to study, you can be employed in jobs ranging from GIS application development, remote sensing based landscape change monitoring through to modelling the consequences of modified water levels on in-land wetland systems.
SIS qualifications are in high demand at an international and national level, both within private industry and government agencies. Within Australia, Sydney graduates have acquired jobs with federal, state and local government bodies including the Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water NSW and the Ku-ring-gai Council, SPOT Imaging Services as well as with other universities, research groups and private consultancies.
