Abstract

Physics Concepts and Simulations is a 34 module package in 3 parts - A: Foundations, B: Mechanics, Oscillations and Waves, and C: Electrostatics, Magnetism and Modern Physics, for engineering and main-stream science students. It resulted from a university move to flexible learning and was developed over 2 years, with ToolBook development by QED Interactive P/L, and is available on CD or network. Each module focusses on key physics concepts and is built around one or more main simulations, incorporating a high level of interactivity. The pedagogy and key features will be discussed, including ways in which this resource has been incorporated into subjects. Evaluation indicates good student utilization and benefit.
