Designation by Senate

In accordance with section 3 of the University of Sydney By-law 1999 (NSW) an official University notice board means a notice board (including any electronic notice board) designated as such by the Senate.

Under resolution SEN-16/6-110 of 12 December 2016, the University of Sydney Senate has designated that the University’s official noticeboard is this page found online at sydney.edu.au/secretariat/noticeboard

The Secretary to Senate may use this electronic noticeboard to publish official notices of Senate from time to time.


Election Notices

Election of student members of the Academic Board

NOTICE is hereby given that the election of student members of the Academic Board for a term of office from 1 January 2019 through 31 December 2019 is now open.

Nominations from eligible students are now open and will close at 4pm sharp on Tuesday 16 October 2018. Students eligible to nominate will be contacted directly.

For more information on the available positions, including the number and allocation of positions, is available from the Academic Board elections website.

If an equal number or fewer nominations are received than positions available, nominees will be declared elected unopposed. If more nominations are received than positions available, the election will proceed to an electronic ballot commencing on Tuesday 30 October 2018 and closing at 4pm sharp on Tuesday 13 November 2018.

Results will be available shortly thereafter.


Election of Student Fellows of Senate

Undergraduate Student Fellow

An election for one undergraduate Fellow of Senate was held on 2 October 2018. There were 34,745 persons eligible to vote 3514 valid ballots received.

The following candidate has been declared elected for a two-year term of office commencing on 1 December 2018 and concluding on 30 November 2020:

An election for one postgraduate Fellow of Senate was held on 2 October 2018. There were 25,942 persons eligible to vote with 1575 valid ballots received.
