Professor Marian Pam Baird

Professor Marian Baird is a Fellow of Senate elected by and from the academic staff of the University of Sydney.

Professor Baird's term/s of office as a Fellow of Senate:

  • term 1: 1 June 2011 - 31 May 2013 (two years) - current term
  • term 2: 1 June 2013 - 31 May 20153 (two years) - new term


She is a member of the Nominations and Appointments Committee (since 19 September 2011) and is Senate’s nominee on the Women's College Council for a term of two years from 27 June 2011.

Professor Marian Baird, who is Professor of Work and Organisational Studies, University of Sydney Business School, has been a teaching and research academic at the University of Sydney since 1997, and was previously at the University of Western Sydney for 10 years.

She is a former Vice-President (Academic) NTEU; has served on various University Committees; and is also Director of the Women and Work Research Group.
