Dr Norman Chan was the Fellow of Senate elected by and from the postgraduate students of the University of Sydney, and his one year term of office commenced on 1 December 2006. Dr Chan did not renominate for election and thus his term of office as a Fellow of Senate concluded on 30 November 2007.
As a Fellow, Dr Chan was an ex-officio member of the Senate/Sports Liaison Committee and the new Senate/Student Associations Liaison Committee.
A graduate of the University, Dr Chan is currently a Master of Medicine candidate and Research Fellow (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital) (as at 1 December 2007).
His prior appointments included: member, Academic Board; executive, Sydney University Medical Society; officer, Students' Representative Council; and medical officer, NSW Health.
