Professor Arthur John Birch

The honorary degree of Doctor of Science was conferred upon Professor Arthur John Birch, Professor of Organic Chemistry at ANU and one of the great organic chemists of the twentieth century, by the Chancellor Sir Hermann Black on 2 November 1977.
