Sir Charles Bickerton Blackburn KCMG OBE

The honorary degree of Doctor of Letters was conferred upon the Chancellor Emeritus Sir Charles Bickerton Blackburn KCMG OBE on 12 November 1965 in acknowledgement of his services to the University, particularly as Fellow of Senate for 45 years and Chancellor for 23 years.

Sir Charles was presented for the degree by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Emeritus Professor Sir Stephen Roberts, and the degree was conferred by the Chancellor, Sir Charles McDonald.
