Ruth Winifred Cracknell

The actress, Miss Ruth Cracknell received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the Chancellor, Sir Hermann Black, at a ceremony held in the Great Hall on 2 March 1985.

She was honoured for her contribution to the cultural life of Australia and for her generosity in devoting her time and energy to the service of the University.
