James Arthur Davidson AO

At a conferring of degrees ceremony held in the Great Hall on 18 May 1983, the centenary year of the Faculty of Engineering, the honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering was conferred upon James Arthur Davidson AO, BE Sydney, FIEAust, Managing Director, Commonwealth Industrial Gases (CIG) 1962 - 1980, and non-Executive Chairman of the Board of CIG and Executive Director, Pacific Region for the BOC Group from 1980.
