Dr Stanley Jack Marcus Goulston

At a conferring of degrees ceremony held in the Great Hall on 25 August 1983, the honorary degree of Doctor of Medicine was conferred upon consultant physician, Dr Stanley Jack Marcus Goulston, MC AM, MB BS Sydney, FRCP (Lond) FRACP FACP.

Dr Goulston was Chairman of the Australian Drug Evaluation Committee (1976 - 82), President of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (1974 - 76) and Honorary Consulting Physician, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He played a major part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University of Sydney from 1948, was a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Medicine and for many years a member of the Postgraduate Committee in Medicine.
