At a conferring of degrees ceremony held on 30 October 1992, the honorary degree of Master of Applied Science was conferred upon Miss Patricia Mary Lance MBE DOBA, Head of the School of Orthoptics, Cumberland College of Health Sciences, from 1973 to 1987 and a founding member and President of the Orthoptic Association of Australia.
