Honorary awards

Roland Herbert Thorp

At a conferring of degrees ceremony held in the Great Hall in 1986, the honorary degree of Doctor of Science was conferred upon Roland Herbert Thorp.

Thorp was Professor of Pharmacology in the University of Sydney from 1949 to 1975 when he retired owing to ill health. Sadly, he died suddenly in 1987.
