Honorary awards

Arthur Farquhar Webster

At a conferring of degrees ceremony held in the Great Hall on 2 June 1990, the honorary degree of Doctor of Veterinary Science was conferred upon Arthur Farquhar Webster, OA, BVSc PhC Sydney, FACVSc.

The award was made for Mr Webster's contribution to the development and manufacture of vaccines for the needs of the veterinary profession and the production and standardisation of a number of antigens for diagnosis of diseases. In addition, Mr Webster had been a Governor of the Post-Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science within the University of Sydney, and his company had actively supported the research and other efforts of the Faculty of Veterinary Science and the JD Stewart Foundation of the Faculty.
