Benjamin (Ben) George Veness
The Fellow of Senate elected by and from the undergraduate students of the University since 1 December 2010, Mr Ben Veness has been re-elected for a second term commencing 1 December 2011.
He is a member of the Safety & Risk Management Committee.

Ben is a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting, is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has 6 years’ experience across Group Strategy at Westpac and in finance/accounting roles at Westpac, Unilever and Macquarie Bank: an analyst/senior analyst, Group Strategy at Westpac (2007-2010), a casual academic (tutor) in the School of Accounting, UTS (2008, 2009), a finance graduate at Westpac (2005-2007) and an intern at Unilever (2004) and at Macquarie Bank (2002).
Ben holds the Sharp Medical Scholarship at St Paul’s College (2010-2012) and was the producer of Cadavatar, the Faculty of Medicine Revue in 2010. He was awarded a Cooperative Education Program Scholarship at UTS (2002-2004) and studied on exchange at the University of Ottawa, Canada (2004).
Ben is also a Councillor of the Australian Medical Association (New South Wales), elected by and from the student member class, and a member of its Audit Committee.
