About the Committee

The role of the Human Resources Committee is: to monitor and advise Senate on matters relating to the University’s strategies and policies supporting the recruitment and management of its academic and non-academic staff ; to review the performance of the Vice-Chancellor and determine his or her incentive payments, and review and approve the Vice-Chancellor’s travel plans; to review and approve the Vice-Chancellor’s recommendations regarding the remuneration, terms of employment and performance assessment of his direct reports; and to ensure the effective management of risk in areas within the Committee’s remit.
