Set out below are non-confidential decisions made by Senate on 2 December 2013.

  • Campus Improvement Program 2014-2020
    Senate endorsed the Campus Improvement Program 2014-2020 document and its lodgement as a State Significant Development Application with the Department of Planning and Infrastructure.
  • Courses
    Senate endorsed the Academic Board’s approval of a range of minor amendments to existing courses, with effect from 1 January 2014.

  • Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies
    Senate endorsed the Academic Board’s approval of the proposal from the Faculty to amend the Master of Information Technology, Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and Graduate Certificate in Information Technology; and approved the amendment of the Resolutions of Senate related to the Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in the Faculty, with effect from 1 January 2014.
  • Faculty of Health Sciences
    Senate endorsed the Board’s approval of the proposal from the Faculty to amend the Master of Molecular Imaging; and approved the amendment of the Resolutions of Senate related to the Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in the Faculty, with effect from 1 January 2015.
  • Faculty of Pharmacy
    Senate approved amendment of the Senate Resolutions relating to the Constitution of the Faculty.
  • Fellows of Senate
    – Senate congratulated the Hon Verity Firth, Ms Kate McClymont, Dr Catriona Menzies-Pike and Mr Andrew West on their election and Mr Peter FitzSimons on his re-election as Fellows of Senate by and from the graduates for a four year term from 1 December 2014, and welcomed them to the meeting.
    – Senate recorded its appreciation for the significant contributions made by retiring Fellows Dr Barry Catchlove, Ms Jane Spring and Mr David Turner.

    Senate approved amendments to the University of Sydney (Academic Governance) Rule 2003 with effect from 1 January 2014.
