The University of Sydney's inaugural graduation ceremonies was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 23 April 1992. The University of Sydney is committed to building on its existing links and to enhance its engagement with Malaysia through new research, education and training programs.

Graduation ceremony, 20 September 2006

The University's graduation ceremony was held on 20 September 2006. Deputy Chancellor Emeritus Professor Ann Sefton AO presided.

More than 100 graduates and guests attended the ceremony held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city.

Guest speaker, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Datuk Rafiah Salim, provided an inspiring speech to the graduates recognizing their success.
