Professor Iqbal Ramzan

Professor Iqbal Ramzan was a Fellow of Senate elected by and from the academic staff of the University of Sydney from 1 December 2005 to 31 May 2009.

Professor Ramzan was a member of Senate's Advisory Committee for Honorary Awards, Chair Appointments Committee, Investment and Commercialisation Committee and Senate/Sports Liaison Committee.

Professor Ramzan is one of the longest serving academic staff members in Pharmacy in the University of Sydney, and is currently Dean of Pharmacy. Iqbal has served the University in a number of administrative capacities including the position of Associate Dean in Pharmacy with responsibility for admissions and other program portfolios, and a member of the Animal Ethics Committee for over 10 years (Chair from 1997-1999). He is a member of the Academic Board, has served on a number of selection/promotion committees, and on staff management committees. Iqbal is on a number of government committees including the Pharmaceutical Subcommittee of the Australian Drug Evaluation Committee. He has been an active member of NTEU since joining the University. Iqbal is a registered pharmacist.
