Fisher Library - 100 years
Fisher Library celebrated the centenary of its opening in 1909 in the Quadrangle (the former Library reading room is now MacLaurin Hall).

The Chancellor Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, launched the Fisher Library Centenary at an afternoon tea in MacLaurin Hall on Sunday 20 September 2009.

Music was performed by students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
An exhibition from 20 September to the end of 2009 displayed:
- architectural drawings of the first Fisher Library in MacLaurin Hall
- treasures from the Library's Rare Books and Special Collections, and
- photos and memorabilia covering the last 100 years.
