150th anniversary of the Great Hall

Online exhibition

The University Archives developed an online Great Hall exhibition, providing a snapshot of the architecture of the Great Hall and some of the events that have taken place there over the past 150 years.

Sound, light and narrative, 26 September 2009

On Saturday night, a sound, light and narrative invitation-only performance was held. It featured the Sydney University Graduate Choir, the University organist and Lillian Crombie (Australia) as narrator. Soloist "Angels" sang from the rooftops, trumpeters performed in the turrets and actors, who told the story of the Great Hall, arrived on horseback.
