Vice-Chancellor and Principal
The Vice-Chancellor is the principal executive officer of the University, with responsibility for promoting the interests and furthering the development of the University. The Vice-Chancellor has the functions conferred or imposed by or under the University of Sydney Act 1989, or any other Act, and the University of Sydney Bylaw 1999.
Current Vice-Chancellor and Principal (and Fellow of Senate)
- The current Vice-Chancellor and Principal is Dr Michael Spence, who took up office on 11 July 2008. As Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Dr Spence is an official Fellow of Senate.
