Located conveniently at the Broadway end of the city, the Seymour is close to Central and Redfern Stations, with great transport links, ample parking and plenty of nearby facilities.

Travelling by car

Parking is available on-campus at the University of Sydney or in the Shepherd Street multi-story car park which is located on the corner of Cleveland and Shepherd Streets. Access to the Seymour Centre is through level 3 of the car park. This car park is ticketed (see prices below).

Mon - Fri (6am - 3pm)

  • Shepherd Street car park: $2 per hour (max $6)
  • On-campus parking: $2 per hour (max $6)

Mon - Fri (3pm - 6am & weekends)

  • Shepherd Street parking station: $4 per hour (max $24)
  • On-campus parking: $24 flat rate

If you plan on parking in the Shepherd Street car park, we recommend that you pre-purchase your parking voucher. You can purchase the voucher for $8 when booking by phone, online or in person. Simply display it face up on your dashboard and come and enjoy the show.

The machines in the car park take gold coins only and do not give change, so pre-purchasing your parking voucher is the easiest way to a stress-free visit to the theatre.

Travelling by public transport

Numerous bus routes run directly past the Seymour Centre: 422, 423, 426, 428, 370, 352. A bus stop is located at the front of the venue on City Road. Visit www.sydneybuses.info/ for bus time tables. The closest train station is Redfern which is a short walk from the Seymour, or Central, which is a 5-minute bus ride away. Visit www.cityrail.info for more information.

Accessibility

A lift is located in the main auditoria with access to all foyers and theatres within the centre. Toilets are fully accessible and disabled seating is available in all venues. For patrons with limited mobility, it is recommended that, when booking your tickets, you inform our Box Office staff of your requirements in advance to ensure you are seated appropriately.
