Beauty and Deceased

Beauty and Deceased

Presented by The University of Sydney Union and Medical Revue Society

Belle is an odd girl in an odd place. Instilled with a fascination with death from a young age from her pathologist father, Belle has finally succeeded in getting closer to dead people by securing a job as a new intern at a the prestigious Royal Prince de Beaumont Hospital.

But all is not well in this house of healing. There are rumours of nefarious research being carried out by Dr Bernard East and his group; experiments threatening to cure death. Relentlessly trying to push back the frontiers of medicine, they delve ever deeper into the darkness, where all should be afraid to enter, where all hope may be lost. And maybe the only thing that can save Dr East is the love of the beautiful Belle.

Ripped straight from the headlines, Beauty and Deceased is at once a love story and a dire warning. In what is definitely not the most beautiful love story ever told, and featuring the singing, dancing, acting and procrastinating prowess of an all star cast of medical students and future stars of the blogosphere, Beauty and Deceased promises, in a totally non-binding fashion, to make you laugh, sing, dance, clap and cry.

For who could ever love the Deceased?

Please note that all proceeds of the performances go to Cure Cancer Australia and Milk Crate Theatre.
