Call for Submissions

In 2011 we kicked off a brand new contemporary theatre program to mark the re-naming of Seymour’s Downstairs theatre as The Reginald.

Our inaugural season delighted audiences and included two unique musical collaborations from Taikoz and Synergy; a contemporary musical from Stories Like These and a rousing Weimar cabaret, Der Gelbe Stern. Other highlights included a physical theatre world-premiere from Dislocate; a steam-punk inspired family show, Aleksander and the Robot Maid and a brilliant Australian premiere of God’s Ear by one of America’s leading young writers, Jenny Schwartz.

Applications are now open for the 2012 Reginald Season which will run from July to December. We invite small and emerging Australian performance companies to pitch projects to us that might; take large amounts of creative risks, cross genre boundaries, provoke some big (and small) questions, leave audiences gasping for more and, most importantly, extend the practice of the team involved.
