SIMA Schools Program

Sydney Improvised Music Association (SIMA), the resident weekly presenter of jazz at the Seymour Centre's Sound Lounge, present their 2012 Jazz: Cool for School education and interactive program where high school students can experience a live jazz gig as it should be… in a real club venue.

Students have the unique opportunity to listen to, meet and interact with professional contemporary Australian musicians, both young/emerging and established. Two bands perform at each daytime concert which will be followed by a Q&A on anything from composing, to the best tertiary courses available and how to sustain a career in jazz.
