Workshops
Our 2012 arts education program provides students with the opportunities to meet and talk to artists, in lecture-style events, panel discussions and hands-on workshops.
Sport for Jove Theatre: HSC Intensive Symposiums
Give your students an opportunity to more deeply explore their HSC Shakespeare text including Hamlet, As You Like It and Julius Caesar.
In two and a half hours, Sport for Jove Artistic Director Damien Ryan, will lead a dynamic process of analysis and exploration of a selected HSC text examining in depth the key scenes and ideas of the chosen play. Sport for Jove Theatre company members will present performances of important passages.
Throughout the symposium students will be engaged in discussion, can observe the text brought to life and witness the effect of different interpretations. Your students will then have the opportunity to apply these insights to practical exercises, speaking the text 'off the page' for themselves and being guided to a deeper experience of these great works.
The Sport for Jove HSC Intensive Symposiums are accompanied by full teacher’s support kits.
