Sustainable Materialism

Overview

Sustainable materialism refers to new approaches to the way human communities supply basic needs from the environment. The desire for environmental sustainability has spawned an interest in changing the very material relationship with 'resources' and the nonhuman realm.

The purpose of this research group is to address merging frameworks and practices around the flows of water, food and energy, examining practices in developing sustainable material relationships within human and nonhuman environments.
