Inclusive teaching for university success: building capacity in health literacy and intercultural understanding between students and academics
This project will improve the capacity of university academics to inclusively teach low SES ESL students, as well as providing early preparation in communication skills and health literacy for students in this group. This program will include a training package for inclusive teaching practice at university level and a resource package to introduce/prepare low SES ESL students to health literacy skills, shared as a common school/university module.

Developing Creative Arts career pathways through tertiary study
This project provides undergraduate architecture and creative arts students with an opportunity to generate and implement genuinely collaborative projects with high school students at low SES and disadvantaged schools.

A Home at University: Residential Colleges and Student Access
Explores ways of improving access to residential colleges on campus by forming links with new schools. Also aims at improving student support within the colleges to support diverse students and develop non-residential membership of St Paul's and Women's Colleges to develop a 'virtual college'.

Kickstart on the Road 2014
This program extends Sydney's 'kickstart' program to regional Australia. It takes university Physics students to regional and low SES schools giving them access to expert instruction and insight into the Senior Physics Syllabus, providing support for the teachers, and mentoring for the students.

Undergraduate Study Hall: Division of Humanities and Social Sciences
The study hall provides a place and calendar of events to help support students in Arts and Social Sciences, Education and Law with their studies. It provides both formal and informal student support and offers a space for feeling included on campus.

The Belong@FHS Journey: Peer Mentoring Across the Undergraduate Lifecycle
The Belong@FHS Journey consists of three peer-mentoring programs aimed at widening participation and supporting students' transition through their undergraduate lifecycle.

Building Sustainable Rural Engagement in Literature
This project builds on schools engagement in English and History to connect to schools in regional Australia, building relationships in person and online to encourage increased capacity among students and support school students to consider studying Literature at university. The project is conducted in partnership with History.

This project builds on schools engagement in History to connect to schools in regional Australia, building relationships in person and online to encourage increased capacity among students and support school students to consider studying History at university. The project is conducted in partnership with English.

Bridging Sociocultural Incongruity in the Undergraduate Education Curriculum (BIEC)
This project embeds academic support for the development of critical thinking skills into a foundation first year undergraduate education unit that attracts 450-500 students and develops a template for embedding academic support more broadly into the undergraduate Education curriculum.

Increasing Engagement with Secondary School Students and Teachers in Mathematics and Science
This project offers support to teachers from low-SES and regional schools to attend professional development courses in maths and science. This will help improve teacher skills and student outcomes in these areas, which have been highlighted as areas of growing need in Australia.
