The University needs to fully account for the funding received from external parties. Accordingly, we need to account for how the HEPPP funds are spent and ensure any funds allocated internally are fully spent within the timeframe specified for the project.

Please note that any funding that is unspent by the end date will be returned to the Social Inclusion Unit, unless there is approval gained from the Director, Social Inclusion Unit. Written justification letters should be sent in at least one week prior to the end date which address why the funds should continue to be applied to the project and the revised date of final expenditure. These requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and, if not approved, funding will be clawed back.
