Director
The Director leads the centre’s day-to-day activities, drives its academic program and manages its staff. The Director is are accountable and responsible for:
- academic leadership and management of the centre, including its alignment with and delivery of the centre’s mission and goals
- effective allocation of its resources to sustain and enhance its academic standing
- standards, teaching, research and outreach.
The SSEAC Director is Associate Professor Michele Ford. Michele’s research focuses on labour movements and labour migration in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Timor Leste. She has also worked extensively in the Indonesia-Singapore borderlands.
