Legislation

Enterprise Bargaining arrangements at the University are currently regulated by the Workplace Relations Act 1996. The current laws will be replaced by new legislation (to be called the 'Fair Work Act'), with new enterprise bargaining laws due to start from 1 July 2009 and new laws about awards and other matters (including the establishment of a new tribunal called 'Fair Work Australia' to replace the AIRC) due to start from 1 January 2010.
