OVERSEAS DUTIES

- Where language staff are required to undertake duties overseas, the University and the staff member will concerned negotiate any special conditions that will apply to their overseas duties prior to departure.
RESIGNATION OR RETIREMENT

- A staff member may resign or retire from the University upon one month’s written notice. The University may consent to a shorter period on a case by case basis.
TERMINATION BY THE UNIVERSITY

- Subject to clauses 38 and 39 of this Schedule, the University may terminate a staff member’s employment upon one month’s written notice, or in the case of a staff member who is over 45 years of age and has at least five years’ continuous service, upon five weeks’ notice.

- A staff member’s employment may be terminated by the University at any time without notice if the staff member engages in Serious Misconduct.

Where a Continuing language staff member’s employment is terminated due to the absence of continuing need or sufficient student fee funding for their position, they will receive notice in accordance with the following scale instead of the period of notice specified in clause 37 of this Schedule.
