What is the Sydney Student Program and Sydney Student?

The Sydney Student Program has been established to deliver a new student administration system and approach to student service delivery across the University. It aims to offer students a simplified, seamless relationship with the University from first enquiry through to alumni engagement, and provide staff with improved support to make clear decisions, reduce risks and spend more time on valuable activities. The Sydney Student Program will define and manage the broader organisational changes required to harness the system’s benefits and deliver an improved student experience.

The system will be called Sydney Student. Sydney Student will enable students to carry out tasks such as enrolment, paying fees, checking exam results and accessing timetables through an online portal.

How do I access training for Sydney Student?

There are regular training sessions for enquiries and applications – visit the Sydney Student training page for dates and to book. If you require more intensive or tailored support, the is also able to provide targeted and on-site support.

What does Sydney Student mean for FlexSIS?

FlexSIS will be gradually decommissioned and Sydney Student will become the single technology solution and data source for student records.

Data migration will occur in stages, with thorough rehearsals and testing before final cutover.

Who do I speak to if I have a suggestion about how Sydney Student should work?

In the first instance, you should speak to your faculty manager or the head of your business unit. They will be aware of who is the representative from your area working with the Sydney Student Program to deliver your business requirements. They will be able to pass on your suggestions.

What functionality will Sydney Student contain?

Sydney Student will enable students to send enquiries, apply to the University, enrol, pay fees, check exam results, and access timetables. Sydney Student will be the one source of truth for student data. Staff will be able to process these tasks online, providing staff with improved support to make clear decisions, reduce risks and spend more time on valuable activities.
