Entry requirements

Students on walkway at Maze Crescent

Your application will usually be considered on the basis of your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

Some of our courses have additional selection criteria that require more than a UAC application. Check your UAC Guide (or the UAC website) to make sure.

If you are concerned that your ATAR might not be sufficient, you still have options.

Flexible Entry

Flexible Entry is a pathway for you if your ATAR is up to five points below the cut-off for your course. It allows the University to assess your application using other criteria and determine your aptitude for the course. Use our Flexible Entry Pathways website to find out what you need to do to apply for Flexible Entry.

Transferring

If you don’t receive an offer for the course of your choice, consider other courses that might complement your study. If you complete one full-time year of study in another university course, you can apply to transfer into your course of choice. Your application will be assessed on either your results from your first year of uni, or a combination of your first-year results and your ATAR.
